TOPIC: Formatting report to go in binder

Re: Formatting report to go in binder 15 years 10 months ago #6382

Unfortunately yes. If you haven't saved a client or a template there's no way to recover it. Whenever you're working on something in the program I recommend you save every 15 minutes or so (the template and inspetion). You don't know when a power outage or battery will die or something will cause your computer to crash.

Maybe that's something you should add to HIP at some point... Auto save feature.

This last month my home inspection report that I have been using ssays about every 15 minutes.  At first I was going to figure out how to turn it off but after I got use to it, I liked it because sometimes my battery does not get charged up on my tablet all the way and it doe not give me a long enough warning (mainly because I am away looking at something) to get the cord plugged in time.

We had an auto save feature but removed it. The problem is it takes 3-4 seconds to complete a save on the average computer being used. When you're walking around holding a tablet in your hands and tapping into a computer, guys turn into auto mode, and would miss that the last few things they clicked on didn't get highlighted because the computer was saving. It just frustrated guys.

A template would never be auto saved anyways as many times guys do temporary edits to a template and don't want to save it.

That makes sense!  I try to save the template every time I make the slightest change.  And the reports.... well I don't save them enough!  lol

When I print out the report the page numbers and the bottom border gets cut off.  I even tried printing with two different printers.  No luck.  What should I do next?
Also footer on the bottom of the cover page prints from the left side.  I have already centered the footer but this still happens.  What is wrong?
