TOPIC: copying a template from on computer to anther

I copied a template from my hp computer to my new mac but it did not work.
On the mac i can see the template if I select open template but it not the right template.
I went back to the hp computer and copied it again to make sure I had the right template and I got the same results.

Also, at the open template screen it says that i should be able to rename it or change the description but I can not do either.

You can only rename on the Save Inspection screen.

Try right clicking the template file (outside of HIP) and go to Info or Properties. Make sure there's no security settings on preventing the file from actually being opened.

I don't know why I could not get it to work the first time but I tried saving the template on the hp machine under a new name than digging a copy onto my thumb drive.  For some resin that copy was able to be opened in my mac after dragging it in the data file from the thumb drive.
