How do I combine the narratives I've typed from different reports in a day and add them all to my template. I seem to be loosing my narratives. Also do I to delete the template from the cloud every time to keep it up to date on my iPad?

Hi Mike,
Once you upload it back to the desktop you can save template. Then you will need to upload the template to the cloud again AND download it to your iPad again. |

Ok, so job #1 @9am I upload and finish on my laptop. Job #2 at noon I upload and finish on my laptop. Job #3 3 pm in upload and finish on laptop. Now how do I add all the narratives I've added from all three inspections to update my template. Now I have a real problem. When I started my second job today I was taking photos with the iPad and the picture froze and locked up. Then I closed out the program and opened up the inspection report and all the information for that report was gone. I started over and it happened again. I ended up taking notes and photos with my digital camera. I have to go home and write the entire report. I still have a 3pm job and I'm afraid to use my iPad. This has never happened before. Anybody else have a problem like this.

Michael...addressing the first part of your question,... I've had the same issue when doing multiple inspections in a day. Frankly, what I've done is update my template with the report which had changes that day which will benefit me most on future inspections

There's no way to automatically grab new narratives from multiple inspections unfortunately. You can save the template from any inspection and make that your new template. I understand what you're looking for, I just don't have a good solution yet. I'll let you know when I figure that out!
Mike, it sounds like your iPad might be running out of drive space, that's the only time I've seen that happen on an iPad. Hook it up to your computer to double check. HIP mobile does have an auto backup mechanism inside of it so feel free to call the office to try and help restore the data. Dan is the one who'd be able to help you with that. |

Thanks for your responses, I'm still puzzled as to what had happened to my iPad the other day. Yesterday it seemed to work just fine and today as well. The iPad is only two or three months old so I can imagine that it was full but I'll have to check into that. About the merging of templates I was wondering if anyone else has tried this. My template is uploaded to my iPad and I perform inspections same day. I finish and save all three inspections on my laptop and upload to client. I merge all three inspections that day together from the same template into one and save the template, but not the inspection.
