You actually can. Open up the lib folder and look at the messagebundles_en file. That's the file HIP uses to translate into other languages.

You can edit anything on the RIGHT side of the equal sign. Never change what's on the left. Save the file and save a copy outside the Data folder as HIP updates WILL replace that file.

I tried to open the file MessagesBundle_en_US.prop.... as this was the only one with the en in it. I get an error message telling me there was a problem trying to open and to contact support.

Do an "open with" and use Notepad. Remember, this will be the same for every inspection, but you could make the labels more general and use your stationery to switch between your professional designations.

Ok now that makes sense to me but it would be nice if we could link them to individual templates as to personalize the report even more. For instance, I really don't need the date on the cover for my radon tests as they go for more than one day. I already have the dates in the report. I do need it on the inspection report though. I do love this report system as it is so powerful and sooooo much better than one I was using for the last seven years. Only took me a year to switch over. I didn't want to take the time to insert all of my comments, etc. Boy am I glad I did now!!!!!!!!!

Well, the date isn't too difficult of a compromise. Just have the date of the test start in there and it will provide a quick date reference for anyone reading the report. I'm guessing with time and food bribes, Dom will have more and more customization throughout the report.

What system did you use prior? I switched from ITA matrix reports, it has been like night and day. If I knew back then what I know now, I would have chosen HIP from the beginning.

I was using AHIT's reports and their office program. I agree with you about knowing what I know now. I have also switched to ISN and that has been a god send for me. Saves all kinds of time once you get used to it and get it all set up.
