TOPIC: "Selection Description Font" Problem

Hello Again!
I have been able to change all of the font sizes, colors and types for everything in my report with one exception.  I am wanting to change the "Selection Description Font" to "Bold" (Preferably Arial 12px)  It will not "Bold" no matter what I try.  I have selected several other fonts and sizes and nothing will "bold" in the "Selection Description Font" field.  Everything else works great.  Thoughts?  Ideas?  Glitch?  Beer?

What version of HIP are you using?

I am using 2.9.2 and the bold feature works fine as you described.

Aha!  I am using 2.9.0 which Dominic made a few adjustments to.  I'm guessing I'll need Dominic's input on this one.  It's a strange problem because I have been able to modify all of the other fonts with no problem.

Downloading a new version can’t hurt.  But I don’t think it’s your version. I have several versions and my v.2.8.2 Bolds the “Selection Description Font” just fine.  Something else might be going on?

I like the Beer idea though.

Hmm, I was about to say, not possible... Looking at it now though I'm not getting it saving the color or Bold of the Selection Description Font. Are you sure you were changing the right thing Serge? I'm going to check out the program and see what's up.

I had/have the same problem as well, I would change my fonts, bold them, color them, etc., etc., but as soon as I exited the formatting window, the bold, color and font type changes to the "Selection Description Font" would be gone.  Size and italic would stay, but nothing else. Luckily, I actually stumbled upon a solution which worked(but I have no idea WHY it works) so here it is:

1. I go to the "Selection Description Font" tab and select all the formatting options I want.
2. Just before I leave that "Selection Description Font" tab, I click on the font type drop-down and select any other font type on the list.  Then I go back to the same font type drop-down and select the font type I actually want (in your case Arial). 
3. Once I've done that final repeated switching of font types, I close the formatting window, and for some reason, it saves all the other formatting I selected for my "Selection Description Font".

I'm telling you, this is the only thing that worked for me and once I discovered the quirk, I tested it about 20 times to make sure I wasn't nuts.  Every time I just made formatting changes normally, they didn't stick.  As soon as I did that final "font type switch", the formatting stayed.  I'm using Win 7 Home premium on an HP 64-bit.  I don't know if this quirk is program based, hardware based or OS software based, but that's what works for me.
