Thanks Bob, and that is what I am trying to do is edit a template to my liking, but it just takes me a long time to do it.
I am still having a hard time to understand that darn Pane and double pane thingy. I'll let you know, if I need help along the way. Thanks again for offering. |

If you mean panel name in the edit template .
My tip is to skip that part and just put the same name all three. unfortunately you cant just copy and paste three times but must type it three times. Later on you can add two different names and see how that effects it through testing. Remember that a damage panel has 2 places it can go. One will make it a summery comment and one will not. Personally I like to pick 2 panels for each tab. one is for materials and the other is for defect comments. Play with the template as you will not run out of them and can have as many as you like. Sorry if it sounds confusing right now. |

Bob, I have managed to do alright in changing tabs and using one damge panel.
How do you get or what do you call a panel say for material, a panel for type and on the bottom of those two the damaged panel? And what the hell do you type on all those blank spaces that comes up? |

One more question;
The section in the template I am using has quite a few pages in the report that I don't really need up here very often. Labeled Heater/AC Is there a way to not have that print out on the report without deleting that whole section?Nice to have it if I need it, but sure takes some time and paper when you don't. Thanks in advance |

Report settings at top then go to section colors and print order.
You can change by unchecking it. There are many more options you can play with such as font , color,etc. You can also change the order in which they print or generate on the PDF. |

Your first question is what I was talking about before.
Say you are in the bathroom section and have an inspect able item to add. You can title the inspectable or if it helps call it a sub-section (of bathroom in this case) You have 3 sections to title because it is to confusing at this point to explain (hahah) One is the name of that little section as the client will see in your print out. (that is tabs) the second one is tab name for defect section and third is foe selection panel or shall we say (material comments) Easy way is to just give all three the same name Marcel and I also think that before that your easier option is to pick one selection panel and one defect panel. go with that advice at first and you will understand the rest at a later point. Remember you have your main menu (yes some of the names are confusing and it seems like selection panel name would go first since it shows at top in comment edit) The main menu is the System titles like ROOF,EXTERIOR,STRUCTURE. The right side of the template is where you add the inspectables (sub system names or components) Componant tabs or panels is where in the report you will type or click your comments. The software must know what to call these sections so you must name them. Hense those weird blank spaces (the three) you referred to. |
