Mike you make a very good point. If and only if I decide to do something like this, I will have to figure out how to market it. I've thought about calling it "Super Sized" or something of the like. Whatever I call it, I need to make it clear that I am inspecting everything and they are not being jipped in any way. I need to make it feel like they are getting more for their money if they decide to go with the detailed report.
As for the difference in the two. Most of the two reports are identical. The long report breaks the house down room by room and the short report groups the entire inside of the house together. Also the long report has all the pictures in it where the short report only has pictures of safety hazards. The only other major change is in the electrical section. In the long report the rooms have their own electrical section and in the short report I have all the electrical grouped under electrical tab. If you open the templates, you can see the changes between the two more clearly. |

I think it will be difficult to market. I see what your saying. Why only pictures of safety hazards? What about defects? I think you are better off using one report with all the info available. Find a way to add value through your service. For example, If they are keeping the appliances, then include the appliance manual from the manufacturer or the warranty information. Do a 30 day follow-up. After they move in you can go back and go over the defects they had repaired.
