Looks like improper venting to me.
Seems like it runs downhill after leaving the wh. Reminds me of something from a Dr. Suess book!

You know I was looking at this a little yesterday.  I don't think you could use the argument of a constant uphill slope.  It seems to meet that requirement to me.  Maybe at the top it levels out a little. 

Even with the three bends in it, its also so short you cant use length either.

I'm kinda at a loss here, my eyes and mind tell my it isn't correct, but I cant think of a rule that its actually breaking.

I guess what I would need to know is how big is the vent pipe that its going into, and how long is that pipe.

Looks to be sloping downhill a lot after it enters the larger section of flue. Not good. I would write it up as improper installation of the exhaust piping.

I'm looking at it as its two vents coming together then going out the wall.  If that's not it, then yeah its sloping down hill a lot.

I see what you are referring to John. That piece may be a tee then going into the wall. I guess we would need another picture, maybe looking down at that section of pipe.
