TOPIC: Making Money The Easy Way

A city boy moved to the country and bought a donkey from an old farmer for $100.
The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.
The next day the farmer drove up and said "Sorry, son, but I have some bad news.  The donkey died."
The city boy replied, "Well then, just give me my money back."
The farmer said, "Can't do that.  I went and spent it already."
The city boy said, "OK, then just give me the donkey."
The farmer asked, "What are you going to do with him?"
The city boy replied, "I'm going to raffel him off."
The farmer exclaimed, "You can't raffel off a dead donkey!"
The city boy replied, "Sure I can.  Watch me. I won't tell anybody he's dead."
A month later the farmer met up with the city boy and asked him what had happened with the dead donkey.
The city boy said, "I raffeled him off like I said I would.  I sold 500 tickets at $2 apiece, and made a profit of $898!"
The farmer asked, "Didn't anyone complain?"
"Only the guy who won and found out the donkey was dead", said the city boy, "so I gave him his $2 back".

That kid is showing some business sense.  He'll go places.
