TOPIC: Wood Stoves

I just inspected a home that has a wood burning stove. The stove itself was only 9.5" from the drywall and the metal single wall flu was 10.5". I went back through some of my class room books and it doesn't say how far away from the wall both should be. Anyone online know? I want to finish the report and get it to the client by this evening. Thanks in advance for any advice I can get. BTW yes, the stove is being used but not as the main heat source.

Where did you find the illustration? I like that and more than likely would have used it on my report had I not already sent it to the client.

One is from code check, another was from an ASHI online article.
I did not see the post soon enough and I understand the urgency of providing the report.

What about just checking the clearances with the data plate on back of the wood stove?
