TOPIC: Venting

I am a new home inspector. Inspected a town home that was built in1984 in South Carolina. Had two bathroom vents venting into the attic with plastic vent pipe not to the outside directly but to the thermostatically controlled attic vent fan that is open to the outside. Is this Acceptable
