TOPIC: 7:00 PM Inspection

Have a very strange start time for todays' inspection. 7 at night. Due to it being dark, I went and checked the outside portion this morning. It's about 15 minutes from home, so no big deal. Seller specified we could not get IN sooner than that. Oh well, just weird. What's the latest you have started?

I personally won't start the inspection unless I have enough daylight to finish the inspection.  So this time of year the last time I will schedule is 4pm.  I have gone out as late as 6pm during the summer months, but very rarely.

I think you did the smart thing of inspecting it in the daytime. I have done inspections of the outside a few days before the actual schedule time when they are nearby and vacant just to get a head start. ;D

Ian - I have done the same thing - do the outside, roof, etc., during the day and return in the evening if that is what is needed.

The other day I started one at 4:30pm In the south side of Chicago, 7:30 ish when i left.
I arrived early to take advantage of sunlight and pictures of exterior.
