Bob - unfortunately many of the inspections around here involve weird stuff.  I have to think other inspectors in the area are running into these things also. 

That was not Spraycrete, but more like cellulose.  It was fibrous, in addition to being flaky like cellulose is and was that weird brownish color.  Have no idea what it was, nor how it could get onto what it touched!  It was obviously sprayed though!

Most of my bank owned properties are 2005-2006 that the buyers couldn't afford in the first place, although I have a 2100sqft bank owned 1964 property in the middle of nowhere next Wed. Should make some good fodder for wierdness (pictures forthcoming.) It sold in 2006 for 240K and this sale is for 90K (about 60K less than fair value...) Better get a tetanus shot beforehand.
