Final total.  13 hours total on site.
12 hour report,  120 pages long and customized for the client.

Major structural issues.
Major moisture issues.
Safety issues galore.
Vegetation overgrown everywhere.
But the inside was pristine.
One hell of a house.

Did you get paid accordingly?

I got paid what I bid at $1695.00  That was double what the other inspector had quoted at $850.  I decided to do a complete new template for this type of property so the report time included drawing up the format I chose.  It was twice as long as expected but that is fine.  The clients were very happy with the inspection and report, not necessarily with the findings but I think they will go ahead with the purchase anyway.

The next time this type of property comes up, rare as it may be, I will be a little better prepared on the pricing.

But you still didn't answer the question. Do you feel your fee was appropriate for the job? I understand what the numbers say. What does your gut say?
