TOPIC: Lovely Garage Furnace

And topic #2 from today's lesson in "Why not to tackle some projects on your own"...this furnace was removed from the house and put in the garage.  As you can see, it limits access to the sub panel.  Also, you may not the lack of ductwork; the heat exchanger is open and just blows heat up in the room.  I'm working on the model/serial #'s for age, but I'm sure it's not efficient enough to be vented with PVC.

This is surly a real safety hazard and a major abortion. You really wonder who installed the new unit in the house, maybe the same guy.

Bob, that's about the jist of it.  Had to be a little more tactful since it was the buyer's agent and the seller's wife that were following me around...I made sure to stress to both of them how much of a safety issue it really is, as you could tell that they spent a good amount of time out there; see:  TV, surround sound, DVD player, fridge...not a good situation.  The wife's comment to me was:  "But, it can all be FIXED, right?"

Sure... anything can be fixed for the right amount of $$$!

Jeff, yes...the nicest part of the place was the Channel Drain siding and roof!  Everything else was DIY...and yes, I did say what you just said about anything being fixed for $$$! 
Really too bad, it's on 20 acres, middle of nowhere, very beautiful area.
