Had a call from a gentleman today, asking if I could do an inspection on his cabin's wood burning stove. His insurance company wants verification that it was "installed professionally" (his words). I stated I wasn't a code inspector, and it would be out of my expertise to state definitively that it was "installed professionally". I'm thinking of referring him to a local HVAC contractor, since I don't know if I want to touch this with a 10 foot pole; "insurance" and his wording of the policy are making me leery...any thoughts?

He didn't sound happy that I wasn't willing to look at it, but he seemed to appreciate that I took the time to look someone up. Good deed for the day...
