HIP locks up and program closes during inspection 3 weeks 1 day ago #66488

I use an iPad for my inspections and during the course of the inspection the software will lock up. This happens usually after taking a picture. It freezes at which time no controls work, then it shuts itself down. I have to then open it up and get back to the section I was working on. Any unsaved data is lost. During a three hour inspection this will happen 3-4 times. I have given Dominic the specific make and model numbers of my equipment and I am running the latest version of Hip so other than waiting for a software update that will fix the problem I'm not sure what to do. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and if so have you been able to side step it somehow? Thanks!

Hi Steven,

Apple right now is releasing a few iOS updates a week as it has tons of bugs. We have worked around some and Apple's latest update resolved a few others. We have one last crash that we've replicated that we are trying to find a workaround for. It's important to set HIP to save after every item under the Settings tab so that you'd never lose more than an item on the tab you're on. We hope to have this update out shortly as well.
