Hi David,
Yes you would. I suggest that inspectors use this method for the first few inspections they do just because we get calls from about 10% of new inspectors saying they accidentally opened template while working on a report or deleted a section they wanted, or something along those lines. If you mess up you can just go back to the last saved version that works. Once you have finished and printed, upload to our server, or emailed your report, you can go to C:\Program Files\Client Data and delete the extra versions so you just have the one. |

You must work with a checklist on site, or have a very good memory.
I always open photos first , place them in appropriate sections or tabs and then reopen as an PDF with just photos to look at in order as I type comments off the pics.(split screen )I save right before I generate the PDF. All my defects have a picture. |

I am so redundant, I enter the data as much as possible then match things up pics. At the end I go through all the pics and find the ones I missed, need to change around, or delete and take care of that. Then I generate the report and triple check everything there. So far, I've made corrections every time!!!
When I save I use the address as the name. And I save often!!! |

The only real time I worry about saving multiple times is when I open my voice dictation software, as it has corrupted my files a few times in the past because of the memory consumption.
Lucky me, it has not occurred in a long time. One good thing about going with the split screen PDF method is that if you take a long break and come back to reopen the PDF it picks up at the spot where you left off . |
