TOPIC: Copy/Paste

Copy/Paste 15 years 4 months ago #17099

Hey Dom I assume I am reading this right in the edit doc were one can add terms there is no way to paste into the pop-up box you have to physically type in the new term is this correct. After over a year of use I finally figured out that one can copy from a panel into a document by use of the two different copy/paste areas in the software but not from a document back into a panel does this make sense to you.

Hi Charley,

You can copy/paste wherever you want.

If you're copying a narrative from one panel to another just highlight all the ones you want, click the copy at the top, click the panel where you want the narratives to end up and click paste.

If you're trying to paste INTO and edit pop-up box you can use CTRL-V to paste. The right click doesn't have an option as we're using it for spell check. You can also copy from a document by highlighting and hitting CTRL-C for copy.

Let me know if this covers it for you. Nice to see you on the boards here again!

Control V does the trick I knew you would have the answer I was trying to right click to paste into the pop-box understand now. I use my doc section probally more than most that is where I create my prices took me a while to figure out that one can copy and paste from the panel section into a doc I was doing it the hard way retyping the repairs into a separate price doc It's amazing what a little knowledge does

Have not been on the boards much been working 16-7's since back in April finally got a breather

I know what you mean Charley! Glad you got it squared away.

The latest version allows you to create documents with variables like Dear $ClientName1, Thank you for allowing me to performing an inspection at $InspectionAddress, $InspectionCity .... Check out thread in the beta section for all the details. It's a great feature!
