Click on profile and then click on modify profile.

I believe you need to copy and paste the info you want from one section to another.

I need to do this to my bathrooms as I edited my master but have yet to copy to the other bathrooms.

David, you could just delete your other bathrooms and then duplicate the Master a few times.


Frank, years ago in the very first versions of the software we had things set up this way. Then we started to get inspectors requesting us to separate items as they had totally different narratives for plumbing & electrical in the attic as they would in the bathroom. They didn't want to see the combined comments as after awhile you start to build up a lot of narratives. Since then we've had a few people asking the same question as you and we're looking at a way to make it 'optional' that only certain sections be tied together. We have a few other big features we're trying to finish up first but that's on our list.

Thats exzactly what I have been doing. It saves time in the long run.

Most of the editing is on the limitations side vs. the inspection side.

it just seems it would be easier and much quicker, to be able to edit or improve comments in all sections with one move. It seems to me that the majority of the items tend to have the same type of deficiencies,i.e ceilings, doors,floors, walls ..... therefore same (basic) comments would generaly apply. Of course each of them could be expanded on in the selected section without saving it and clogging the system. I just find it anoying, when I enter the comments and then need to use the same thing in the next report, but cannot find it since I am in the different section. Then I end up editting a comment in this section, since I dont have a time to go and cut/paste template info. So I can never have consistency thru the program, and the comments and the order of them (which is the worst part of it) vary from section to section. Then I will be forced to make a template FINITE and stop screwing or improving, because everytime I add something, it will make it more chaotic.
But I understand what you mean, just still think that the high percentage of the items do have the same conditions.

Hi Frank,

I agree, and as we've had more and more inspectors using the program I've heard guys go both ways with the issue which is why we'll make it optional. We have 2 major features we're finishing up first then we can look back to items such as this. There's a new version of the program in the Beta section which you can download now or wait a week for our beta testers to finish playing with it. So far though the guys are loving the new features in it.
