TOPIC: Using HIP on the job

Most inspectors use a mobile device though others still use laptops. We do have guys that only take photos or write things down but why do all that data entry twice?

Hi, entering data twice is what I would really like to avoid. I'm not yet certified but I've been a few inspections with a mentor and from what I've seen, it wouldn't be very easy for us to carry a laptop around. Seems like many part of the report requires custom comments and would probably be best to do those after the inspection is done including setting up the pictures. I was wondering if inspectors using your software writes a lots of notes on paper and do what they can on the software during the inspection.

Quick question, do you have a trial version of your latest version? I've re-downloaded today and still get version 3. It's expired but can still practice on it which is nice. I had downloaded it maybe 6 months ago and didn't have time to work on it. My mentor is using 3D, I love the way they keep the picture on a lower panel on the layout. Makes it easy to quick to get the pictures in the layout. Is there a way to do something similar from the settings?

Your mobile version, if used on an Ipad, is it like the laptop version or a large version of the phone version? Don't want to carry a laptop, probably an ipad mini or something like that.

Yup just click Download Trial at the top of the site.

You can turn the photo slideshow on under Report Settings->Options.

The iPad version is very different from the desktop version but they're all compatible with each other.

Guys that use laptop leave it in a central location and enter day after every room or two.
