Hello everyone, my grandson just had a home inspection done in Florida. I received a copy of the inspection report and was very disappointed with the lack of details and also not even one picture was included in the report. Is that normal for Florida?

Before you hired the inspector you should have set down what you want out of the inspection.
Florida is still playing with their Standards of Practice and the State Law. But there is no requirement in any state that says you must use a camera in an inspection! If you shop for low bid, you get check boxes... Many new inspectors also feel that they are getting paid for the on site inspection time and pay little attention to their reports. Here at HIP, I think you will find mostly inspectors that want more out of reporting software than most others provide and spend a lot of time improving the abilities of their written reports. Sorry for your dissatisfaction! |

Yup, I agree with David. No, that's definitely not normal though like David said, there's no state law. If you tell me what city he's buying in I can recommend someone great in that area.
