I understand our business is dependent on people showing up for their appointments. If they don't show up, we don't get paid.
As a Home Inspector I know that time is money and besides doing home inspections I also do Insurance Inspections and various other types of inspections that require a scheduled appointment with a property owner, property manager or even with the maintenance guy. Most of the time I would try to call the day before to remind that person of the appointment but sometimes life got in the way and its 10pm and too late to call so the next morning I would hope for the best and I would drive 35-40 miles one way and be the only one there. Then I would finally reach that person only to find out they forgot
Now I have an automated reminder system in place and for the past 3 months I have had zero no shows, I get phone calls almost immediately after a reminder message is received if the client needs to reschedule.
I can send out a text message, an email or a voice reminder or any combination on a pre-determined date and time. This system has been very well received by my clients and realtors, so much in fact that I have set this system up for a few realtors.
In fact, on yesterdays inspection the realtor showed up and the first thing he said was what a nifty reminder service I have, it turns out he is an Accountant and Financial Planner as well as a Real Estate Agent and I am setting him up with this service.
The way the system works is you would get access to my website along with your own password. You set up a default text message, a default voice message and a default email. When you schedule an appointment you just enter the appointment date and time, the clients cell phone number (to receive a text message) an email address, if they are to receive an email and any phone number (home, office, cell) to receive a voice message them you schedule the date and time you want the message(s) to go out.. You're Done---on the scheduled date and time the system sends the message(s) to the numbers and emails you provided. Now you don't have to worry about calling the day before, the system is programmed to do it for you.
So what do you get, you get access to my site (password protected, hosting, a local phone number and 200 message credits per month, Note; each message you send out equals 1 message credit so if you send a client a text message an email and a voice message that equals 3 credits, If you have 2 scheduled inspections per day for an entire month and sent each client a text, voice and email that would equal 186 credits. I generally ask the client how they prefer to be notified and most will want a text to their cell and a voice message to the home because it will go to an answering machine or voicemail
I have set this up for several realtors, my dentist and a few local salons and I charge $24.95 per month.
What I have decided to do is offer it to fellow Home Inspectors for $14.95 per month
