TOPIC: Foreclosure Renovation

This house is a lot of work, everything in the basement was removed and will be replaced. We are installing new oak staircases from the basement all the way to the second floor, four flights of stairs. New HVAC also.

It does sound like you're building a new house, wow!! Nice work.

We are basically building a new house..almost. The tough part is doing things backwards, like the walls are up and we had to replace the subfloor, not easy with the utilities and walls in the way. But it is a great learning tool and experience for any inspector because you are seeing each system in detail and installing them or seeing them installed. I have asked many questions of the sub contractors and they have been very helpful. It will certainly help me during my home inspections.
