Yes I did find the website. I think it is a similar product to what I have used. I remember the name now. CS-231 Controlled Expansion Waterstop Sealant by Con-Seal.
My jobs weren't high tech like this. I don't even know what a steam vault is for. I'm assuming it is the storage container for heating a large building. Am I close? |

Dom, PDF files when searching for a Product come up with short cut links, and when you click the link it opens up the PDF where there is no url link to copy so when I copy the shortcut and paste it doesn't work. I copied the link under properties and that dosen't work either.
Don't know howelse to do it. Bert, a steam vault is a concrete structure that intercepts a change of direction in underground steam lines. This is a college campus so all the heating for the buildings is supplied from a boiler plant, fed through these underground lines to each buildings, goes through a heat exchanger and provides hot water for baseboard heat or HVAC units on the roofs or mechanical rooms. Also supplies the domestic hot water through a heat exchanger also and each steam line has a condensate return line back to the steam plant. |

A little progress on my hole in the ground for a Steam Vault.
Last Friday we poured the slab and now for the reinforcement and concrete forms. First the vertical rods at 10" oc. Mechanical contractor brought over the link seals to put around the pipe. Those are designed to expand once in place tightning all the bolts. Injecting epoxy chemical adhesive to bond re-bar dowels in the existing vault. Using the RX water stop, we installed it in the keyway and on vertical surfaces of the existing walls of the vault. Well most of the panels are up and waiting for the Mech. Contrac. to finish his link seal and welded water stop sleeve. The link seals are under the metal sleeves with a metal water collar that get cast in the wall. This is now ready for forming. Should complete tomorrow and pour it also. Meanwhile, the earthwork contractor digging out for the second pit which is quite larger. I knew exactly where the lines were, because the 6 story building you see is a building I build there 15 years ago. That is as long as a steam line underground last using this Dri-Therm material for insulation. The schedule 80 pipe rust right through. The new steam line will be as Manufactured by Ric-Wil. A lot more money but the life cycle cost is less due to it's performance. Til' next time. [/color] |

You're welcome Bert. More to follow. Poured the walls today and start a bigger one next week.
Hopefully, there is a bigger job in site for the future. I much prefer jobs in the Millions not thousands. They last longer. ;D |

The biggest job I have ever done was under a million. And I don't mind it that way. It is interesting to follow the progress of your project though.
