TOPIC: HGTV...Huh?????

Just caught an episode of HGTV where an inspector...on TV...told his client that she should "definately buy this home".  My wife laughed at how hard my jaw hit the floor. 

Does anyone else think this shows inspectors in a bad light?

well I don't think it shows inspectors in a bad light so much as it shows how foolish that inspector is, besides those shows are staged.. :-X

Kinda funny guys. I was doing some work at home today and Mr Holmes was on. My wife couldn't believe how much I flipped out at the jerkoff. Any of us, including some that have never done an inspection, could go and find the stuff he does. If I could take a sledgehammer and use it at my inspections, I would never miss anything. HG blah blah blah makes me wanna hurl sometimes with these shows.

Lou, you've probably got a point...but let's remember who is watching these shows.  General public is going to now assume that inspectors will say yea or nay on buying the home.  Will they feel they aren't being serviced if you refuse to do that?  Just devil's advocate, I suppose...
Ian, my wife got a kick out of how fast I jumped up and went to the computer to post that!  And yes, I've watched Holmes...next inspection, I'm bringing my Official Home Inspection Bobcat to open the roof instead of going in the attic!!!
