TOPIC: Real Estate Season Is Coming

So what do you guys think about the upcoming "SEASON" as I like to call it? I usually see an upswing start around March, so I was just wondering.

License renewal is in Sept 31.  Oct 08 the bottom fell out and everyone had already renewed.  Oct 09 license renewals were down about 300 state wide.  Still way to many inspectors in my area of operation.

State HI association membership was down 09.  Last week we had 10-15 more people attend than the previous month.  The location changed which could be some of it.  Everyone was grumbling about low volume.

During the last 8 weeks, my volume has picked up.  Lots more calls and internet queries.  Not all are booking but the more inquires, the more chances to book.  So far gross sales are almost exactly what they were year ago.

Hoping things will come together and stay together.  Lots of talk about a commerical real estate market crash in the very near future which may start another economic talespin.

Commercial crash is coming, they say.  But another round of foreclosures too.  The banks are doling out the foreclosures so they don't glut the market and more are coming soon.  I have been busy, except when snowing so much!

I am triple last year, home it keeps up ;D

Looks like we all say better than last year, that is a good sign I think.

The way I see it, I can't do any worse than I did last year!  ;D  I'm with Bruce though, way too many guys around here getting into this gig.  I think I see a new truck with "home inspection" scrawled all over it daily...been pounding the pavement, phones and anything else I can think of, but the phone's been quiet so far.
