TOPIC: Tumbled Bricks

Has anybody out there in inspector-land ever tumbled red bricks. I have a stack of bricks I want to use but my wife wants them distressed. I have heard that one can put them in a cement mixer with sand and tumble them. This will render them 'used' looking. I couldn't find anything on You Tube.
