A former client called me today with a question about a concrete patio deck that they had recently had poured. She wasn't happy with the result and I guess the contractor isn't helping. She said that people have told her that the concrete is way too high (4" above the footing), among other cosmetic issues. I told her that I was willing to come and look at it and take some photos if she was contemplating a complaint against the contractor. My question is, is there a requirement (in California) for the distance below the wall line, (weep screed) to the finished concrete at the house?

There is nothing sweeter than the smell of fresh cut grass on a baseball infield, the click of a wooden bat and the taste of a hot dog at a warm sunny daytime double-header.

Thank you Stephen. That pretty much simplifies it.
