TOPIC: Hot Tub/Sauna wiring

Hot Tub/Sauna wiring 12 years 5 months ago #44637

I did a recent inspection with a Hot tub and everything about the circuit was wrong.

I wanted to ask/discuss my findings and if there are any other issues/requirements for the circuit.

My findings.

No disconnect within 6 feet of Tub.
No GFCI protection.
Cable improperly secured, installed at main panel, sub floor and exterior.
BX cable used at exterior and noted as a trip hazard and not rated for exterior usage.

Here are a few pics and just wanted to know for next time if anything else to document.

I think you covered it, unless those conductors are entering some duct work in the 2nd photo.
Looks like an amateur install all the way around.
