I had an old version and want to upgrade to HIP4. Downloaded the trial, but it will not run. Says it is loading program.......but nothing. My old version was doing the same, thought upgrade would help......any ideas?????

Exactly what's happening to me..it says loading then blank screen.

The problem turned out to be Kaspersky Antivirus. We've had several guys with this issue lately. Uninstall Kaspersky and use AVG or Windows Essentials instead.

I'm having this problem as well. What bothers me most is that I was happy with HIP3 but a bug that changed the date with the download from cloud could only be fixed by be paying $250 to upgrade. And now the fix for HIP4 is change my security system. That really sucks and is, to me, very bad business practices.

Rockwell, HIP 4 now has 2 years and thousands of hours of work into it. You got more than a bug fix! You also could change the date manually in a few seconds.
We have nothing to do with Kaspersky. We've contacted them but they are doing this to many programs including HIP 3 and 4. You can definitely contact them and let them know that you're unhappy they are blocking your inspection software. We are not them and there's nothing we can do except ask them to stop blocking our software. They're costing us a ton of money in extra support calls right now and lost revenue from people who think Home Inspector Pro is broken when they try the trial. No one is more upset about it than us! |

Like I said, I was happy with HIP3. The only fix for the problem I had with was to buy more than I asked for or wanted. They're good features but I was doing find without them. It looks like we're stuck between a rock and a hard place. It's unfortunate that they can't work with you to resolve the security issue(s).
