TOPIC: Moving report from tablet to desktop

Moving report from tablet to desktop 12 years 2 months ago #50005

I am going to use my Slate 2 for the first time today. I have my template and pre set report loaded on the Slate. My question is what is the best way to move that report to my desktop to load the pics when I get home.

I plan on saving it to a USB drive right now, but thought there may be a better way.

Troy

I used to do it with the thumb drives but I had a computer guy create me network folders on both computers. I call it HIP transfer.

I simple drag the folder (client data) into the network folder on desktop (Hip data) and then open in laptop and copy from hip data to laptop client data folder. I always copy the file so I have a backup if I mess up.

You just need to create the network between the 2. I was able to create folder on my laptop but I do not remember exactly how.

I have used my CTL2 2 days in a row. Both homes above average 50 pics and my home report time was about 30 minutes.

You will really like the process and now you can do 3 a day.

Did you have a CTL2 before the slate?

What David mention works great. The other method I recommend is Dropbox from dropbox.com. Free and easy, but not as instantaneous as David's method (takes a few minutes longer to sync to the cloud).

I just got a hotspot on my phone so Dropbox is probably the way to go. I would think it would be ready by the time I got back to the house.

David, it really cut down my report time as well. It is going to take some getting a while to get familiar with the system, but I like it. It kind of took me out of my rhythm, but I know that will change.

I use Dropbox.  Works great and sync time isn't a problem.

I use a bluetooth transfer. Just send it like you would to a different folder. Works great and no plugging and unplugging.
