I am new to making videos and am seeking advice on what type/specs of camera to purchase for the purpose of making very short inspection videos to post on my websites. I want to be able to record my voice simultaneously rather than have to edit and do voice-over in the office. Obviously I don't want to over-spend on my 1st vid cam.

Get a Sony HX5V
You can pick them up for under $200 now.

1890 x 1200 resolution and 60 frames per second.

My You Tube video was shot with it and notice how steady it is even when walking as I self held the camera while taping.
