New to HI and will be buying HIP and using a tablet. Marcel mentioned the CTL2go and the HP Slate 500 as good models. The CTL2go looks to be a bit bulkier as the keyboard is attached and folded back, so the Slate 500 may be the one, and they're around $800. Before I jump in, any perticulars I should be concerned with or issues you've had? Should I be looking for it to have Windows XP Tablet Edition?

Those are the 2 best devices. Get 2 gigs of ram and go for the Windows 7 version as the handwriting recognition is improved.
The CTL2Go is bulkier but it's also more durable. So it's on of those decisions where guys go either way. You can get an otterbox type case of the Slate 500 though which will go a long way to protect it. |

For the difference in price (Slate 500 being more) is it a better product, or just pricier.

It's a little faster but mostly it's the fact that it has a capacitive screen (can touch with finger AND stylus) and that it uses more expensive components to make it lighter.

I am selling my 2gopc. It is 1 year old and like new. It has everything Dominic recommended, including an extra battery, 2gb mem and 160gb Sata Hard Drive.
I am asking $350. Steve Barrett |

I have a CTL2go I bought a couple of months ago. It's a tablet with windows 7 professional and a 3 yr warranty. I like it but have found that I prefer to use my home PC for generating reports. I'll sell it for $400 today.
