TOPIC: CTL2GO?

Hello Dominic,
            So I received the CTL2go last week. I had the Kingston 30gb hard drive installed with 2g ram. When the unit arrived it showed available hard drive space as 22.4 GB but only 10.2GB of free space. Since installing HIP, Norton and Adobe Reader the free space shows only 7.26GB. I am first curious as to what took up the 10GB of free space from 22.4 to 10.2. I assume the 30GB to 22.4 was the operating system Window7. Should the Hard Drive have such little space left? and I also noticed last night that it said 8.3 GB of hard drive space and when I turned it on this morning it had 7.26GB? My GB keeps dropping every time I turn it on....I took it over to Geek Squad? and they looked over the system with me and could not find any reason for that much of the Hard Drive to be used up with what he said was not a lot of stuff installed. Obviously CTL2Go tech department is no help. I keep getting the same lady who just keeps saying I can send it back to them... No help at all!!!! Just wondering your opinion....

      I just did a windows update that dropped the free space from 7.26GB to 6.5GB now with just an update. Geek Squad said something could be wrong with the HD as well! I am afraid of running out of HD space in the next week. I do not use this for anything other than the inspection software and have not loaded any other software....

Norton takes up a lot of space, would AVG free be a better alternative?

I can see what memory I have on mine.

Curious the comparison of AVG and Norton.

I have 121 GB free of 143 GB on my CTL2

Ok Dominic, I will load that, it is finishing the windows update and I will load that and get on Live. Thanks!

Oh and while I am waiting for this Explorer 9 update to load (taking forever) to let anyone know if they are looking for a good shield for the CTL2go, I just had the invisible shield put on at a kiosk in our local mall and it is fantastic. No interference with touch operation, in fact it seems to respond a little better. They can customize the size if you bring the unit with you. Mine charge a bit much, but I think it is worth the protection. $40.00
