Thanks for the response John. It's definitely been nice to have our own HIP Rep at CTLCorp as a point of contact! I'd load the free version of AVG on there. It's light on resources and will cover you for your needs. You won't be connected to the internet too often anyways. Have you tried saving an inspection to your thumb drive and transferring it to the Mac and back yet?

Thank You for the quick response re: anti-virus. I have not tried to transfer anything yet. I am resisting the usual "quick start" procedure and am trying to become familiar with the pc, it's functions, etc before diving in and creating a lot of issues and questions that don't need to be asked. This Forum was instrumental in my decision to go with the 2GO and I want to give valid and pertinent feedback. Be back to you all later. John |

Dominic:
Do I need a different license for the Windows version of HIP, as opposed to the MAC version I already have, so that I can "load license"? Also, I have not figured out how to delete that annoying > pop-up on the lower right of the screen, the parent/classroom control pop-up. Any suggestions? John |

Nooo, one license per inspector, we don't care how many machines or what operating system you install it on. Same license file works for Mac & Windows. We encourage you to install it on multiple computers so you have a backup. I can't explain why some companies charge extra per computer.
Contact Matt regarding the popup. Or click on Start, type MSCONFIG and look for the program name that's starting up. We can do a live session tomorrow through the site, just click Live Help. |
