Question; If I link someone on my web site and they don't link me, is there no benifit to me?

No, there is only a benefit if they link back.

There is a number of guys that have sites hosted by other places and their sites do not have link pages. How can these sites participate in link exchange? If they just load up a page with links, isn't it going to resemble a link farm?

If they get more than 40-50 on a page, it starts to look like that. If they don't have a system like ours they can still create multiple link pages and split it up. But if they aren't linking back at all, let me know. Some of them are just about to switch their site (especially if you see they have another HIP site).

What have you found to be the best way to get people to recipicate links?

Add them first then post it on the link exchange thread and email them. You'll get about 80% reciprocation that way. Some of the guys you'll have to email twice as they get busy.
