After I caught a nasty nasty worm/virus and none of the free ones could get rid of it I went with PC Tools Spyware Doctor with Anti-Virus. It was the only one to clean my machine first time through, including the mirror backup. Cost is $39.95 for 3 computers. Runs quietly in the background without being a memory hog.
