The ability to attach a picture to a specific comment and not just in that section of the report.

Check out the linked image feature. It'll automatically insert an image when a particular comment is selected.

Yes, that is a great feature to be able to have a picture automatically populate when a certain comment is used. However, what I am referring to is the actual layout of the report. Having the capability of placing a picture right next to the comment it is associated with would definitely make the report more user friendly. If multiple pictures are needed for a specific comment then an option would be needed to place a row of pictures directly below the comment.

Hi Chris,
This is something we looked at years ago but it creates massive amount of blank space which is one of the main reasons guys list as switching to HIP. If you go look at a HomeGauge report they have comment/photo, comment/photo, etc. Reports become at least 25% longer because of all the blank space next to the photos. We've never been able to find a way to balance that out to keep the report looking professional. In 99% of items you have 2 to 5 comments with the photos directly below them. Common captions allows you to preload captions and select from existing items to make captioning an extremely quick task. We're always open to finding new ways to lay things out but we don't want to eliminate something that drives so many to HIP. |
