TOPIC: How about a link button

How about a link button 9 years 3 months ago #59940

Dom .

Hope you and all my inspection cronies are having a lucrative and joyous holiday

Been farting around with my template and continuously looking at ways to keep it
not only extremely attractive but unique.

would really appreciate a button where I can install (paste) a website link , address etc..
into a window and it will allow my clients to click it in any particular category ...

example I like to educate and explain a situation or issue to my clients as I find them
so they are not only not surprised or falsely worried but now know just what the hell is
occurring, and keep pics with web links on tap in a spot in the template ..

So if I want to include a common explanation of staining roof algae I can insert a link such as
this to send them there by simply clicking on a button in the report.

www.bobvila.com/articles/black-roofstains-
check-for-algae/#.VJnG7_8OgA

that's an example...

Currently I am saving links like that in the text under the pic I attach in photo editing and
it simply isn't worth a damn in the report ,,,,does not consistently function nor does it
highlight in a blue etc  to show client it is a clickable link.

adding tutorial specific types of links is essential and we simply need a data base or library
in our templates to pull from on a daily basis when building a custom report..
This must be easily usable and accessed from the report in the form of a button or key
and be reliable.

We need a button in the software that will quickly insert any data we have saved in the form of a .jpg gif
and a stored link ..or links

These will be quickly inserted into the category

A data base of saved material in a folder on our hard drive etc,,,rooted to this functioning key .

also lets get the darn video root directory folder defaulted to the insert video key as I have
asked a dozen times please....

I insert a bunch of video clips into my reports and you are killing me
it works with the pic insertion.....do the same with the video....quite elementary

for now what I do is put web address into a comment and color is blue , I use mostly the same website reference sites so it works for me ,, opens up nice within the report .... I put a web reference for Federal Pacific ? - I always refer them to www.ismypanelsafe.com/ . My comment says For more information on Federal Pacific Breaker Panels can be found on this website www.ismypanelsafe.com/

What Les recommended using the Advance Color feature works great. Make sure you add the http:// and the link will be clickable. We're working on some other features to improve this more in the future.
