TOPIC: Mobile beta questions

What's the name of that app? I don't think I have it. Does it crash if you're using something other than the voice recorder?

The name of the app is Voice Recorder.  It is version 2.14.08011905.  It came with my Samsung Galaxy S5.  I don't use many apps during an inspection.  I am switching between HIP and the voice recorder to try to get the job done.  I notice the crashes seem to happen more if I am moving through things fast.  If I get confused and switch between HIP, home screen, voice recorder fast, it seems to crash more often.  It is a pain because, naturally, I have not saved my work in HIP when it happens.  Thanks.

Is the voice recorder app a replacement for the built in voice to text feature that you could use directly in HIP? I'll download that app and check it out.

Do you have HIP set to auto save after every item?

I am using the voice recorder for stuff that is not in the template.  I record it and type it on a real keyboard on the PC.  I have been doing that since I got the Galaxy phones in 2013.  However, I may have narrowed the problem down today.  Mobile HIP crashed today when I took a picture, clicked Retry (to discard and take again), took a 2nd picture, clicked Retry and took a 3rd picture.  That may have been what has been happening all along.  Thanks.

Can you replicate this? I tried and it didn't crash, though my device has a Discard/Save but it does the same thing.

Here's my brainstorm.... I use the full ver in the field, along with the merge feature. What about a pared down ver or the mobile app for just taking pics(and captions)on our mobile phones That way when pics are upload they are already slotted.
