Don't feel bad, I can't do it either.
I fill in all the SOP required stuff, One liners for defects and that's it. I take pic's with a camera. I use Dragon to dictate the one-liners into what I want said. Can make good time with it... and no two inspection reports are the same... If I have time to try and do it on site, I dictate to a voice recorder, plug it into my computer and it types out the dictation. Ctrl-X Ctrl-V and I'm done. |

I disagree and lots of guys feel like Peter including myself.
I want to use captions for locations and material comments. Many Inspectors here use photos for notes and are not interested with pecking away during inspections. I slot my photos before going to the text side so that I can write in line with the pictures. If I can save time by doing all the material comments in caption form it would help and have no interest in decreasing my photo use. Been trying to get Dom to understand this for years. Why not be able to complete and entire report from photo edit ? That is 100% my goal and wish there was a concentrated effort on that function. When I use mobile I am captioning comments as I go to serve as the basis for my entire report and never even look at the text side. |
