Just curious if he is using the same template or not.

Hi Bob, I am the culprit who is having photo problems. Yes I have same template on both devices (Droid phone and laptop).  I have one guy use the Droid on portions of the inspection while I complete other areas using a digital camera.  I finish the report by merging the Droid with the laptop produced report.  I first tried using two Droid devices in field and then merging together on the laptop but had problems with pictures slotting correctly so I simplified with one field Droid and the laptop.  Dom has been working with me to find out if issue is on my end or HIP.  Looking forward to solution.

I am going to be using my android camera today so will test it out some more .

Since we upload to the desktop side the issue must not be with using different devices but with using 3 reports period.

Bet there is a conflict of some kind but Dom will figure it out.

I am having problems with the merge.  I am really trying to merge template changes instead of two parts of an inspection.  For instance, I have MyTemplate and use it for my first inspection of the day.  I make some changes to the template and save it.  However, I do not have time to finish the report completely before my second inspection.  I use MyTemplate for the second inspection that has some updates for from the morning inspection.  During the second inspection, I make changes to the template and save it as MyNewTemplate.  At night, I finish the first report and save MyTemplate.  Then, I finish the second report and save as MyNewTemplate.  After completing all of the reports and saving the templates, I start a new inspection , load MyNewTemplate and save the inspection as MyNewInspection.  Then, I load MyTemplate and try to merge with MyNewInspection.  The changes made in MyNewTemplate/MyNewInspection are not coming in.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks.

You actually may not be able to do what you are doing if I follow.

The first template you pull up on the desktop side determines the templete of the entire report.
You can not for instance pull up a 2 picture row and combine it with a 3 picture row template and have both versions show in one report...does that make sense ?

If the first template is 3 in a row then the second merged inspection even if done on a 2 row picture template will convert over to the first one loaded meaning the report will show 3 pictures in a row even if
you used the other on mobile.

Changes to the left side of black/red are not merging right now, just the actual selected comments on the right that would effect the report. I'm working on a variety of different options regarding this for guys but for now went with the default of not having those comments merge. I'd sent out emails to about a dozen inspection companies waiting on merge and most of them did not want those comments. I know others do so that option will be added once any other issues are resolved.

Selection panel comments DO merge if they don't exist in the original template and the comment was selected in the inspection to be merged. Due to the nature of how they're setup, there really wasn't an option
