TOPIC: illustration request

illustration request 12 years 5 months ago #48809

I would like to see a feature that could store illustrations within HIP program that could be easily added to the photos. ( I believe 3D just did this (INachi member J Pope was talking about it).

For example plumbing DWV illustration of an S trap. This way I can have them stored in the program rather than looking through numbers illustration files.

By the way, great job on the last update!!  Works great, love the reminder about deleting the photos. Makes it dummy proof.

David, have you tried creating a folder of just illustrations and renaming the files something other than numbers? That would make them easy to find. Jeff uses InspectVue so that's probably what he was referring to.

Glad you like the updates, more coming shortly.

I have folders in folders and my library is huge, be great to add in section while doing report. I hear what you say about organizing the folders, just thought there might be a way to have in the body of the program.

How would you put them in the program to make the process more efficient?

The illustrations would need to be pre loaded into the section of report or something like that, like Reverse polarity for outlets and Knob & tube for wiring. Just looking for a better/quicker way.

I keep a separate folder on my desktop with all the illustrations I use.(always easy to find on the desktop)  When I am checking off defects in my library to the report, at the end of a defect is add graphic.  It reminds me to add in the specific graphic needed.  No sense in loading 20-50 illustrations when you may only be using 3 or 4.
