TOPIC: How about these features?

How about these features? 12 years 11 months ago #45220

It would be nice to be able to click on the photos that show up next to the comments that go with it that would bring you to the photo for further editing or changes instead of having to go find that photo in the "ad photo" tab.  Also, it would be nice to have all red text comments that are tied to photos show as red text under the photos.

Maybe this is in the new release, but I have not had any time to try it yet because I do not want my live inspection report writing to blow up from a possible glitch in the trial.

Hi Robert,

#1 is already on the to-do list.

#2 I'm not so sure about. You want captions to show in red? I think we'd need some more discussion here on that one.

Yes to number one.

mehhh... to number two, but only because I don't use captions. I played around with a similar idea of putting a red frame around photos which were major concerns to make them pop off the page and stand out from other photos. I can see red text for the captions which come from the summary panel working the same way for guys who use captions a lot. Sounds like a decent idea, at least as a possible option.  If people can't still choose to keep their captions all one color, then I wouldn't make the change.

I would be interested in the ability of a red text caption being added to the summary page automatically like it does in the damage panel.

I use captions a lot and I seldom post a photograph that is not of significant importance.

Captions are always much shorter than any red text that I might put in the body of the report else where and would be more of what I want in my summary page than the other options.

As a matter of fact the only red text that I use in the damage panel is a dictated compressed summary of the significant defects of that section. Things I want to show up on the summary page (basically one-liners).
