Thank you Serge for the personal call.
He had some good constructive criticzm and it made a lot of sense. Bob, I am not sure what you mean. Can you give me an example of being repetative. The original post just had a merged line with Repair and Replace. Are you stating the comment Repair or Replace is used to often? |

Very nice addition with merging comments. I think the option to choose item separators would be great. Things like commas, periods, bullets, dashes ect. Many of my comments are complete sentences, so commas do not always work.
Good stuff though. |

Hey Drew! Different separators are already there. Try holding ctrl, shift or alt when clicking black/red. Full description was back a few posts. Dave, Bob is saying that you might be over using the feature. For example, you say Repair or Replace a lot with the new setup. You might want to scale that back a tad. |

I have been toying around with eliminating all summaries. I don't feel that they benefit the client, only the agent. The flip side of that is it makes it easy for the agent to hand out work lists to contractors when you have separate summaries. Currently, I just keep one summary in the rear of the report. |

• Repair or Replace, weathered areas, poorly sealed, location(s), laundry door
• Repair or Replace, cracked threshold , location(s), front entrance • Repair or Replace, loose, damaged or missing window screens, location(s), numerous areas • Repair or Replace, insect damage, location(s) NW corner trim Page 16 Item: 6 Caulking & Vent Penetrations • Repair or Replace, poorly caulked areas/have all areas reviewed for proper caulking techniques • Repair or Replace, damaged vent cover, location(s), dryer • Repair or Replace, loose vent cover, location(s), mechanical system(s) Page 17 Item: 7 Exterior Electrical, Receptacles, Lighting • Repair or Replace, Read the above(count how many words their are) now remove the term "Repair or replace" and recount. Sorry Dave but tell them what to do such as a "vent cover."How do yo repair it? I bet you mean replace. was it missing? What was actually wrong? was it missing? and if so you would simply replace it. Generic canned language often fails when using it to speed up the report process because it eliminates actual thought. There needs to be a balance. |
