One other feature can you make the lists were they can be renamed, move up down like the edit lists? Karma for you!! Great news for you Dom the craptop is about the blow, kid is using and it makes this grinding noise like it is about the kick the bucket, we both should celebrate the death of the craptop!! |

Renaming lists will be done but is going to require quite a bit of work as the program has to scan EVERY narrative in the software to look for where you might have used it, and then update it.
I'll make sure to send a hallmark card for the craptop |

Okay guys. I expect some HEAVY testing of HIP 2.9.2 tonight to let me know if this works for you. Once I hear back to you I'll move it up to the official beta section.
2.9.2 New Feature: When selecting multiple comments and moving to Red/Black you can now 'merge' multiple comments into one. This is useful for combining mutiple narratives into one and serves as a similar feature to Lists. If you select a few comments, hold CTRL and click Black/Red the comments selected will be merged into one, but separated by a comma in the black/red area. If you hold the SHIFT key then a period will separate them. If you hold ALT then there will only be a space. Design Change: Allow blank comments within lists. Design Change: How memory is allocated to Home Inspector Pro has been changed. This should cause a performance boost on some systems. www.homeinspectorpro.com/dmdocuments/Hom...Pro-2_9_2-Update.exe |

In the words of a programmer friend of mine, that CTRL key thing is a "sexy" idea.
I'll give a it a full test tonight after dinner. Karma for everyone in this discussion! How great is it to talk about an idea WITH the programmer and have the new version in front of you that evening? I'll post another thought along the lines of Dave's re-naming lists idea. I've been thinking about that too. Thanks guys! |

That was my mistake on the About tab. I forgot to change that to 2.9.2. It's the correct version though.
I enjoy programming. Unfortunately because of all the tech support, sales, conferences, etc, I don't get to do as much as I want. When I do get to site down for a few hours like I did today I can often implement ideas rather quickly. Things should be changing in June to allow me more time to program (and get a lot more features done). I'm glad you like the update. I hope Serge, Cameron and others will try it out and let me know what they think too. |
