1. When I've added updates to my resdidential reports it is always bothersome to copy and paste each individual change, especially when I make at least 5 new additions per report.
-It would be nice if we could drag and drop a page from one template into another to make it easier for those who have multile types of reporting templates 2. To be able to change panel type when opened for template editing (Eg Each sellected could have a check box to keep or remove and a botton to click the different type from damaged panel to selcetion panel if necessary 3. My reports include VIEW pages for different areas of the building. To do this it has to be a damage panel and since I have rating boxes they appear under this area but are not required - Recommend option to remove rating boxes from each individual page 4. When adding pictures I have to scroll down visually to see what section to highlight to put the picture into its required section - Using colour coding it would make it easier once you have becomed acquanted with it to make it faster to choose (Eg, Blue for plumbing, green for exterior, gray for structure, etc) |

Hi Al,
Thanks for the feedback. What are the multiple templates that you are keeping? 1. You can open two copies of the program side by side, one template in each and copy/paste narratives across. 2. Possible for a future update if enough people want it. 3. This has been discussed as a possibility. 4. I'm not sure what you're saying here. Can you explain? Are you talking about in the drop down boxes? |

1. When I started using HIP it had a few lines of descriptions for each area of my templates, but over the years, some of these are now 40+ lines each. Copying from one template to another can be tedious if you have that many for each and every section and sub section, that is why I would recommended copy and paste entire pages into different templates. A lot less time consuming
2. Great to hear that this a possiblity 3. Great to hear also 4. Yes the section in the drop down boxes would be nice if each text/section was colour coded |

What different templates do you have that you're copying things around to? Copying pages will be available in the future but we have quite a few other things to handle first. Most people have one residential template and then turn pages on/off depending on if it's a condo, home, mobile home, etc. That saves a lot of time.

I use residential (70+ pages), commercial (100+ pages), mould (15+ pages), wett inspection (Wood burning appliances - 25+ pages), church maintenance inspections (100+ pages) type templates. Each type is highly detailed with a lot od additional material added to benefit my clients

Ok, those are definitely separate templates. I thought you might have been combining similar templates.
