Ethan, I am pretty sure it is automatic.Guess Dominic can answer that one as I have never not had them pop up on any computer I have used which would make adding any extra indexes redundant as the summery also guides you as to the page number where you can find issues.
Just my opinion of course. |

No worries, and I agree with you the less is more idea, I am totally onboard. I have just in the past had clients who are lucky to open email attachments without calling me. So to assume that they will get acrobat bookmarks sorted is probably asking to much. ???

I always assume people know next to nothing and provide instructions included with my intro. Also explain on my web site how it works.I can honestly say that in the three years of using HIP nobody has ever called with questions about opening a report. Most of my clients are young professionals or foreign born and they are smarter than Americans.People born in this country are sadly not very bright thanks to the poor school systems.
If you are in a shall I say computer illiterate area thought might be given to printing the report. My thought however is that with experience you can tell when they need help and make sure to call the next day for feedback and give assistance. The only real option for some people is a printed out report and I allow the Agents to handle that end if it should ever occur. |

Bookmarks open automatically in Adobe Reader and almost every other PDF reader out there (I haven't seen one without that feature in a long time), there's nothing that needs to be done.

Very good point, I feel. Currently, at the left side of the PDF, clients can go to certain sections. I feel that's close enough. Also, one of the charms of HIP (originally) was its very simplicity. The more bells & whistles, the more reluctant I get to download new versions . . esp when I see several pages of confusion in less than 24 hours! I may let you all settle the dust before I hop on board with this one . . . |
