TOPIC: Photos, slideshow and filesizes

Photos, slideshow and filesizes 16 years 1 week ago #903

Wish there was a way to tag pics to fall into preopened dropdowns
I was thinking just to show what I mean here.
Say you coud tag pics in the foders to auto fall into sections like roof or interior.
I suppose I could set up a dummy client with dropdowns already opened but need to play with that idea.
Often takes an hour to click all my dropdowns in photo add

If the photo uploads somehow had a thumbnail visible at the section of the report you selected it to be in the report. You could write the comment without switching from the photo section to the inspection report tabs. Maybe even be able to add the caption to the photo from the inspection tab location. Basically I take photos of everything and write the report from those photos, so I am constantly going from photo page to whatever area I am writing then back to the photo page.

Dominic is adding a film strip at the bottom of the page for report writing to take care of that John.

Bob, I have on average 100 pictures or more (150) and can drop them all in about 45 min tops, sometimes quicker. I streamlined how I want the drop downs to look from how I inspect. Roof being first, exterior, attic, etc, etc.

Dominic,

I noticed the resolution if quite low on the photo import.

This isn't usually too noticeable except on siding or roof photos.

I can't use some pics because it makes the roof look like its about to leak and the siding look lousy.

Is there anyway to et higher res photos into the report. Especially for the cover photo?

I need anything to reduce the file size. Are you still looking at going three pictures wide? My pictures have very good quality in the report though.

The split screen is a great for report writing. I am not sure how it looks on regular windows, but The Acer system is great for viewing where the pictures are, and what order they are. I drop the comments in to match the picture order..

Will we still have access to the cc processing if we do not use the upload service? I am interested in the upload service but have to find a way to get those 12 and 14mb inspections loaded.....

By far this is still the best program on the market, even if it never had another update!!!!!!!

How about a reminder before the program closes if you want to save the current template. I keep adding comments and then forgetting to save the template.
